Genevieve brings 17 years of experience in early childhood education as a teacher, director, administrator, and founder of The Nest Preschool in Mancos, Colorado. Her journey in ECE began over 15 years ago as a parent volunteer, fueling a career dedicated to high-quality early care and professional development.

As a credentialed trainer and coach, she specializes in STEM, center operations, health and nutrition, and leadership development.

Genevieve and her husband, Eldon, have lived in Mancos for 12 years. Outside of work, she is a proud sports mom to three sons—Brandon (20), Colten (18), and Jason (16)—and enjoys boating, camping, snowmobiling, and skiing with her family.

With over 25 years in early childhood education, Terra brings a wealth of classroom, mentorship, and training experience to her work with educators. Her approach centers on meeting every adult and child with compassion, respecting individual learning strengths, and creating dynamic training experiences that make a lasting impact.

She specializes in building early literacy skills, encouraging independence, and personalizing education to meet each child’s unique needs, while creating compassionate environments that spark a true love of learning.

Deeply connected to her local community—with roots spanning Cortez, Durango, and Bayfield—Terra also serves as secretary for the Four States Junior Rodeo Association. Outside of training and teaching, she enjoys photography, reading, cross-stitch, and spending time with her family and her dog, Hashbrown.
